Frequently Asked Questions
RV Rental Pricing
Mileage
You will get 100 free miles per rented night. Anything additional is 39¢ per mile. This is cumulative for your entire trip. Example: A 7-day rental will receive 700 free miles. We only charge for actual mileage used opposed to requiring you to purchase mileage “blocks”.
Generator Time
You will get 3 free generator hours per rented night. Anything additional is $3 per hour. This is cumulative for your entire trip. Example: A 7-night rental will receive 21 free generator hours. There are no credits for unused hours.
You can check availability and get a price quote by going to our rental reservation page and entering your selected dates. Please contact a rental representative if you have any questions about availability. Sometimes they are able to move things around to accommodate various rentals.
There is a nightly rate that varies depending on size, dates of travel and availability. You can view the various other fees on the rentals pages. For a full quote, go to the quote/reservations page and select your dates and desired vehicle.
To reserve a rental unit, we take a $500 non-refundable down payment that is applied toward the total cost of the rental. The remaining balance of the rental is due 30 days prior to your pick-up date. We will email you a balance due reminder and then charge the remaining balance of the rental cost to the credit card we have on file. If you want to reserve within 30 days of your pick-up date, the full amount of the rental is due to create a reservation.
There is a $1,500 security deposit that is ran as a pre-authorization only on your credit card the day before your scheduled pickup. This puts a temporary hold on the funds. If you return the unit in acceptable condition based on your selected package, the authorization will drop off the account. This can take up to 7 days after the trip ends to see the hold clear from your account.
RV Rental Basics
Motorhomes are not suited for traveling on really rough roads. These roads frequently wind through woods that have not been cleared sufficiently to permit the huge bulk of a motorhome to pass. Also, due to the height of a motorhome, any unevenness in the road, especially side to side unevenness, may result in items being shifted or damaged in the coach. If the road is uneven, damage to the undercarriage may occur as the RV has little clearance. The RV is to be driven only on highways and maintained state or county roads. The RV is not to be driven on any non-maintained or back-country road.
You can drive the RV to anywhere in the United States or Canada (with written consent). The rentals are not allowed into Mexico as the insurance does not apply.
Yes, we do allow you to leave one vehicle here while you are on your trip with advanced noticed. Please let us know if you plan to leave your vehicle with us. It will be parked in our fenced-in lot, but we assume no liability for the vehicle while it is here.
If these machines require a standard outlet (110v), you will need to either run the generator or plug the vehicle in to an external power source to plug in the machine. All of the rental units have a 12v connection somewhere in the vehicle, if you have an adapter to use. If the 12v connection is only on the dash (as it is in some of the units), it will run on the engine battery so you must be careful not to drain the battery. Please call for further information on this.
Yes, but there are several factors to take into consideration. From first freeze to last freeze (approx. mid-October – mid-May), we have all our RVs winterized, which means the water system is drained of any water and filled with domestic anti-freeze to protect the water lines, water heater, and tank. If you are traveling to a destination with freezing temperatures, you will not have use of the water system. If you want to use the water, and we deem the destination to have favorable weather conditions for water, there is a one-time $189 fee for the un-winterize/re-winterize. Insurance does not cover any damages caused by frozen holding tanks, waste tanks, water heater tanks, etc. If you choose to have water, and get damage from freezing, the repairs would be your financial responsibility.
Please see our Winter Rentals page for more information.
You can ship any personal items needed for your trip to our office location. Just ensure you note your reservation number and name on the box, if possible. We will ensure the box is in the vehicle when you arrive and can assist in getting it shipped back after the rental. You can contact a rental representative to make arrangements or if you have any questions.
Yes, we do have pet-friendly units available in each model. There is a one-time pet fee of $125. You can call to inquire on availability of a pet unit in your desired size. Unfortunately, we can no longer accommodate cats in our RV’s although dogs are still welcome!
If you purchase insurance through our insurance carrier for the rental, then you cannot tow anything. If your own auto insurance extends to cover the rental, you can only tow something if it weighs less than 2,000 lbs. All towing equipment is your responsibility.
Check with your auto insurance carrier to see if your personal policy will extend coverage to the motorhome rental. If your insurance does extend to cover the rental, have your agent email proof of coverage on the motorhome (not just your auto ID card) to rentals@bb-rv.com for the dates of your rental with your liability coverage and comp and collision deductibles, showing B&B RV, Inc. as the loss payee.
If your auto insurance does not extend to cover the rental, you will need to purchase third party, secondary coverage during the booking process or by giving us a call. Insurance options, rates, fees and deductibles vary based on the actual unit rented and the level of insurance selected. The insurance includes full comprehensive, collision and (at least) Colorado state minimum liability and will cover multiple drivers. Driver verification is required for all drivers that will be covered under the purchased insurance. For full rates and options, please contact a B&B RV rental representative.
We do allow our vehicles to go to festivals. We have a generator exhaust add-on option that may be needed depending on the festival you are attending.
Burning Man specifically can add a lot of extra wear and tear and cleaning time. Additional fees apply for Burning Man. Contact a rental representative to discuss.
After hours pick-ups and returns must be pre-arranged with a B&B RV representative. You will receive all instructions for pick-up via email prior to your pick-up date. Instructions for the after-hours return will either be given to you at pick-up or left in the vehicle for you. There is a separate holding area where the vehicle is picked up and returned with different steps to follow. Contact a B&B RV representative with any additional questions about this option.
We do not provide any snow chains and you cannot put any on our vehicles. If you are traveling somewhere that requires them, you will need to change your route accordingly or wait until conditions allow you to pass.
You can use our secure web reservation request form, call in to make your reservation over the phone or come to our office to make the reservation in person. We require a non-refundable $500 reservation deposit to secure the rental, unless you are booking within 30 days of your departure date. In this scenario, the full departure balance is due to make a reservation.
Our rental quote/reservation page will show you units that are available for selected dates and giving you pricing details.
You need to arrange your own transportation through the local train line (RTD A-Line), taxi, shuttle or rideshare (UBER, LYFT etc.). We are only located about 17 miles (approx. 25 minutes) from the airport and about 2 blocks from the Central Park A-line stop for the train (RTD).
B&B RV, Inc. is now happy to offer a three-night minimum year-round. We can arrange shorter term rentals but the rental rate is still for 3 nights.
Each driver must be at least 25 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to drive in the U.S. Each driver will need to have proof of insurance that specifically extends to cover a Motorhome rental. If any driver in your party does not have auto insurance that will extend to an RV rental, they can purchase insurance through our insurance provider. The purchased insurance will cover all drivers, 25+, who have signed the contract and passed the driver verification.
Once we receive any violation notices you incurred during your rental period, we will email you the notice and total amount. Then, it gets charged to your credit card on file. We do charge a $10 processing fee. The bills can take anywhere from 3 weeks to 2 months to arrive at our office so we reach out as soon as we receive anything.
The toll roads in Colorado do not require cash payment. They take a picture of the license plate and send a monthly bill. Once we receive the bill for any tolls you incurred during your rental period, we will email you the total and charge the expenses to your credit card on file. We do charge a $10 processing fee. The bills can take anywhere from 3 weeks to 2 months to arrive at our office so we reach out as soon as possible.
Every RV rental is equipped with an onboard generator to provide power when you are unable to plug-in. The gas motorhome generators run off the same fuel as the engine. The diesel motorhome generators run off the propane tank. The generator will power all items that require 110v power including the A/C unit, microwave, TV, and anything else you are trying to plug into a standard 110v outlet. Most campgrounds have posted hours that they will allow the use of the generator because of noise and fumes so try to plan your route accordingly.
For $325, B&B RV, Inc. will clean and wash the vehicle, dump the waste and fill the propane upon your return. You just need to fill up the fuel tank! Many of our renters add this option after the trip even if they had not initially selected it on their reservation. The convenience and time savings can make a difference at the end of a long trip. Learn more here.
The Works package can only be purchased in combination with the Value package. If purchased, B&B RV, Inc. includes a kitchen package, dishes package and linen package for the amount of people specified. Specific item lists included in the packages can be found under the pricing for any of our rental options. Learn more here.
Due to insurance restrictions, we require at least 48 hours notice to make a reservation. All of our services are first come first serve, so the earlier you reserve the more likely you will get the product and date time frame you desire.
We have a newer, upgraded rental fleet and a very thorough maintenance schedule. Due to this, major problems are very rare. We offer an add-on at time of reservation, for a third-party emergency roadside assistance service.
If you have an emergency on the road, please make sure that everyone is safe (pull-over and secure things safely), then get the assistance you need. Treat any emergency situation, or roadside breakdown, as if you were in your own vehicle as you will typically be able to obtain help much faster than trying to reach us for help. You will know much more about your location and available services nearby. Please keep us in the loop if an emergency does happen and let us know if/how we can assist. In the case of non-emergency issues, we include a detailed user guide in every unit that can help with general questions/issues.
All rentals go out with a full tank of fuel and need to be returned full regardless of the package selected.
All of our rentals have 30 amp connections and will come with an adapter for 15 amps (normal household plug).
All rentals are due back on the return day anytime between 8:30am -11:00am. If you are unable to return by 11:00am, we offer a Late Return option for $100 that extends the return time to 4:00pm. This is based on availability and must be selected and paid for prior to your rental pickup. If you need to return later than 4:00pm, you will need to extend your rental by another day. We do have after-hours options available. Contact us for more information.

Trailer Rental Basics
You are responsible for ensuring your vehicle has the ability to tow the weight of the requested trailer. Weights are listed on the trailer rental page here. Your vehicle will need to have a 2″ receiver hitch and a 4-Pin or 7-Pin connection. Please call us with any questions regarding towing.
Proof of auto insurance is required for the vehicle you are using to tow the rental trailer showing that you have liability coverage. Physical damage coverage (comprehensive and collision) is included on your trailer rental with a $1,000 deductible. You can email your insurance card prior to your pick-up or bring in your current insurance card on the day of pick-up. If you do not have insurance on the tow vehicle, please contact us asap as you will not be able to take the rental unit.
RV Rental Procedures
You need to arrive at your scheduled pickup time. When you receive your reservation confirmation, it will include a walk-around video of the inside and outside of the rented RV as well as a driving safety video. These can be found on our website, as well as on our YouTube channel. These videos should be watched PRIOR to your arrival on the day of pickup.
We will send a reminder about these 2 weeks before your pick-up date. If you watch the videos prior to your arrival for pick-up, the process usually takes less than 30 minutes. If you have not watched the videos when you arrive, it will extend your time here significantly. We will confirm receipt of your rental contract, verify insurance, and pre-authorize your security deposit the day before your pickup. When you arrive on the day of pickup, we will walk you around your rental RV to ensure you are comfortable with the functionality and we will mark down any existing damages on the RV together.
There is a non-refundable $500 down payment applied when you make your reservation. The remaining balance is paid 30 days prior to the pick-up date. If you cancel your reservation, we don’t offer any refunds. Instead you would get a credit for the amount that you already paid ($500 or the total depending on timing of cancelation) to use towards a future rental within 12 months from the date that you cancel. We charge no additional fees for cancelation or date changes.
All rentals are due back by 11:00am on the scheduled return day unless you have already arranged the late return option. You may purchase a late return, if our schedule permits, allowing you to return by 4:00pm. Unscheduled late returns WILL be charged a $500 late return fee. To expedite the process, you will need to ensure you return the RV full of fuel and in the condition determined by your selected package choice. The complete process should only take approximately 20-30 minutes.
If you are in a rush, you can opt for the “Express Check-in” option that allows you to leave while the vehicle is being checked in. Once we complete the check-in process, we will call you and review any final balance.

We have the flexibility to schedule 1 rental pick-up every thirty minutes Tuesday – Saturday from 9:00am – 3:30pm. You will select your pick-up time, based on availability, when you make your reservation. All rentals are due back on the return day between 8:30 -11:00am. We understand that in some cases our regular hours might not work for your trip plans. Because of this, we are able to offer after hours pick up and drop off options. If you need to schedule this for your booking, please call or email our rental department directly to discuss this option.
We only need one certified driver to be present on the actual pick-up date.
Prior to pick-up, each driver will need to check their provided email and sign and submit all the contract documents. We must also have a copy of the driver’s license for each of your drivers. If you are using your own insurance coverage, all drivers must provide proof of coverage. If you are purchasing the third party, secondary coverage through your reservation, you can add that at any time and need to make sure you verify all drivers prior to the rental pick-up.
RV Sales Basics
Unlike other dealerships, B&B RV offers a vast selection of unique and quality-built campers perfect for overlanding and off-road exploration. We also offer exceptional late-model motorhomes, meticulously maintained and loaded with upgrades you won’t find on most new units. Since 1999, our two-generation, family-owned and operated business has thrived on old-fashioned customer service. Our passion for adventure fuels our commitment to helping you find the perfect RV.
With most towable trailers, the tow vehicle must have a 2″ receiver for a hitch, a 7-pin electrical connection, and a functioning brake controller. It’s also important that the tow vehicle has enough towing capacity to safely tow the trailer in all conditions.
Our manufacturers all have their own warranty coverages. Your sales representative can give you specific information on warranty coverage on the RV you are interested in purchasing.
We have various service contract options available through our partner, EasyCare. EasyCare’s Vehicle Service Contract (VSC) offers different levels of coverage to suit your budget. Policies may vary but typically extend the manufacturer’s original warranty and cover items not initially covered under warranty. Our sales team can discuss all warranty coverage and service contracts.
Yes! We work with a group of lenders and are often able to offer buyers options concerning their loan rate and term. The application is quick and can be completed online here.
Yes. We typically ask for up to 10% of the sales price to hold a unit for purchase (capped at $5,000). You can discuss deposit payment options with your sales representative.
Our service team does a full pre-delivery inspection on every RV sold prior to pickup. Your pickup date will be scheduled with our sales team and will occur during our normal business hours. On the day of pickup, a sales representative will do a thorough walk-through of the purchased unit, you will complete the sales paperwork and make any final payments. This process can take anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours depending on the unit type and your previous experience with an RV.
Final payments for all RV sales need to be completed with certified funds (wire prior to the closing date or cashier’s check at closing). No personal checks or cash will be accepted at the time of closing. Credit card payments up to $5,000 may be accepted with pre-approval from the sales team. All major credit cards are accepted for sales deposits.
