Get To Know Our Operations Manager, Misty!

To say that B&B RV, Inc. wouldn’t be the same without our Operations Manager, Misty, is pretty easy considering we had to spend almost FIVE years without her! Misty started with B&B back in 2005, serving as a pivotal part of our team for 7 years before leaving in 2012 to explore the big-bad corporate world. After starting her own family, she realized that the family-owned business environment was the place for her and came back to us in 2017!

Misty, aka the Iron Mist, has been a key pillar in B&B’s continued success as she not only keeps everyone on track and looking forward but also goes above and beyond to organize most of the fun activities we do as a company that help make our team truly feel like a family!

Check out the Q/A below to get to know our Operations Manager a little better!

Get to Know Our Operations Manager, Misty:

1) HOW DID YOU MAKE YOUR WAY INTO THE RV/OFF-ROAD TRAILER INDUSTRY?

I lucked into the industry back in 2005 when a friend of a friend referred me to B&B RV for an office position. The office was very small back then and I learned a little bit of everything over the 7 years I was there. I left for 5 years to go try out the corporate world. I had stayed in touch with the family over those years and came back in 2017 after finally realizing client meetings and business suits weren’t what I wanted out of life. My tenure so far at B&B RV has helped me create the work life I don’t have to run away from.

2) WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT WORKING AT B&B RV?

I love all of the people. Vacation is fun, travel is fun, camping is fun and we get to see people either getting ready to experience that or coming back from experiencing that every single day. Some people wait their whole lives to take the kind of trips you can experience in an RV. We have customers from all over the world that use our vehicles to experience life and I enjoy being a small part of that. I also can’t say enough good things about the B&B RV family and employees.  I can honestly say that I enjoy my job pretty much every day.

3) WHAT WAS YOUR DREAM JOB GROWING UP?

I can’t even remember ever having a dream job in mind. When I was a kid I would say the typical doctor, veterinarian, pro basketball player (yep!) type answers. I worked in quite a few different areas when I was younger before settling here and never quite found something I thought I could love.

4) WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING WITH YOUR TIME OUTSIDE OF WORK?

Anything with friends and family. I have a very busy teenage daughter that keeps me busy with her softball schedule. I like to travel with friends and family, both by RV and plane, with kids and sometimes adults only trips.  I have a whole travel wall in my house that has a map where we pin the spots of the places we have been able to visit. I love music and get to quite a few concerts every year, including one large music fest that we choose with a group of close friends.

5) FAVORITE RV/TRAILER MANUFACTURER AND MODEL IF YOU ARE THAT PARTICULAR?

I have always been drawn to the Opus OP4.  The air popup system is pretty awesome and just the overall look and features are what I would go for if I was buying something.

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.
