FAQs
Sales FAQs
How do I know which RV is right for me?
We help you determine the right fit by looking at:
- Your travel style
- How many people you’ll bring
- Towing/driving comfort
- Whether you camp in RV parks, national forests, or off-grid locations
What types of RVs do you sell?
We offer a full selection of high quality new and used travel trailers, toy haulers, and various sizes of used motorhomes. Our team can help you compare layouts, towing needs, and features to find the RV that fits your lifestyle. For a full list of our current inventory, visit our Inventory Page.
Do you offer RV financing?
Yes! We work with multiple lenders to offer competitive rates and flexible terms. For more information, visit our financing page. You can get pre-qualified by filling out our online credit application.
Can I trade in my current RV?
Absolutely. Contact our sales team to discuss a free trade appraisal. We’ll offer a fair trade-in value you can apply directly to your new purchase.
What’s the difference between buying new and buying used?
New RVs include full manufacturer warranties and the latest floorplans and technology.
Used RVs can offer significant savings and may already include various upgrades. Every used RV we sell is inspected for quality and safety.
Do your RVs come with warranties?
All new RVs include manufacturer warranties, and we offer extended protection plans for both new and used units. Ask our sales team about coverage options that fit your needs.
What should I look for during my walkthrough?
We do a full walkthrough on a scheduled pick-up day to ensure you are 100% confident in using your RV. During your walkthrough, we’ll show you various things including how to:
- Operate appliances and slide-outs
- Use water, propane, and electrical systems
- Maintain seals, tires, and roofs
- Set up and break down
Can you help with RV maintenance and service?
Yes. Our service department handles everything from routine maintenance to major repairs, winterizing, roof inspections, and more. We offer warranty service on many different brands. We also stock parts and accessories.
Off-Road/Off-Grid Options
What makes an off-road or off-grid trailer different from a regular travel trailer?
Off-road and overland trailers include enhanced features such as:
- Independent or reinforced suspension
- All-terrain tires
- Higher ground clearance
- Steel or aluminum reinforced frames
- Off-grid power systems (solar, lithium batteries, inverters)
These features allow you to travel away from paved roads and camp without hookups.
What power options are available for boondocking?
Common off-grid power solutions include:
- Roof-mounted solar panels
- Portable solar kits
- Lithium battery upgrades
- Inverter systems
- Generator compatibility
Our team can help you choose the right setup based on your travel style and how long you want to stay off-grid.
Do off-grid trailers include water and waste systems for remote camping?
Many models offer:
- Larger fresh-water tanks
- On-demand tankless water heaters
- Cassette or composting toilets
- Off-grid friendly plumbing setups
These features help you stay self-sufficient longer.
Are off-road trailers suitable for families?
Absolutely. Many off-road units include options such as bunk beds, rooftop tents, slide-out kitchens, and interior sleeping spaces ideal for families or adventure groups.
Can off-grid trailers be used all year round?
Many models are equipped with:
- Four-season insulation
- Heated tanks
- Diesel or propane heaters
- All-weather construction
This makes them ideal for year-round adventure in a variety of climates.
Can I make my RV or travel trailer off-grid?
Yes! Most trailers can be upgraded for off-grid or “boondocking” use. Off-grid setups usually include solar power, larger batteries, water-saving systems, and improved insulation or power management. We can help design a package based on how and where you travel.
Do I need lithium batteries to go off-grid?
Lithium batteries are strongly recommended but not mandatory. Compared to lead-acid batteries, lithium offers:
- More usable power
- Faster charging
- Longer lifespan
- Less weight
- Better performance in partial-charge conditions
We can evaluate whether lithium is worth it for your specific setup.
Can you install solar panels on any RV?
Most RVs can support either roof-mounted solar panels or portable solar solutions. We evaluate roof space, wiring access, and battery compartment size before installation.
Consignment Program
What is RV consignment?
Consignment means you allow our dealership to sell your RV on your behalf. We handle marketing, showings, buyer qualification, paperwork, and closing. You get paid after the sale—without the hassle.
How does your consignment process work?
- RV Evaluation: We inspect your RV and discuss pricing.
- Agreement: We sign a consignment contract outlining price, terms, and fees.
- Professional Marketing: We photograph, advertise, and list your RV across major RV marketplaces.
- Showings & Negotiation: We handle all buyer inquiries, showings, test drives, and offers.
- Paperwork & Payment: We complete the sale, transfer the title, and issue your payment.
What types of RVs do you accept?
We typically accept motorhomes, travel trailers, truck campers, toy haulers, and camper vans in good condition. Brands that we currently sell are almost always a great fit, but we can accept all manufacturers. Age and condition requirements may vary—contact us to confirm.
Is there a fee to consign my RV?
There is no “consignment fee” to sell your RV on consignment with B&B RV. We agree on the selling price up front and discuss any changes if they happen to come up.
How do you determine the selling price?
We use market data, comparable listings, condition, and demand to recommend a competitive selling price. Final pricing decisions are made with your approval.
How long will it take to sell my RV?
Timeframes vary by RV type, season, price, and condition. Many RVs sell within a few weeks to a few months. We provide updates throughout the process.
Do I need to leave my RV on your lot?
Yes. To properly show, inspect, and market the RV, it must remain on our premises during the consignment period.
Can I still use my RV while it’s on consignment?
Generally, no. Once consigned, it must remain available for showings and should not accumulate mileage or additional wear.
Do I need to have my RV cleaned before consigning it?
A clean RV sells faster and for more money. We encourage owners to clean up the RV before drop-off, and we also offer detailing services, if needed. All personal items must be removed prior to the RV being left for consignment.
What documents do I need?
- Title (or lien information)
- Maintenance records (recommended)
- Owner’s manuals (if available)
Do you handle financing and trade-ins for the buyer?
Yes. We can offer financing options and accept trade-ins, which helps expand the pool of eligible buyers.
What happens if I change my mind?
You can cancel the consignment agreement according to the contract terms.
